On 12th January, the anniversary of the foundation of what is now the Tansley Ladies Group, 32 ladies gathered for a celebration lunch at the venue where it all began. A buffet lunch was prepared by present members and was enjoyed by all. We had the challenge of identifying members from photos taken of them in their youth. One of our members made a magnificent celebration cake and our longest serving member, Sheila Newton, made the first cut and was presented with a bouquet of flowers. Marjorie Ramwell, another long serving member, was also presented with a bouquet. Our current chairman, Diana Dakin, gave a toast to members past, present and future before we all made our way home after a most enjoyable afternoon.
